Product Safety

We will comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding safety of products we sell. We will meet applicable recognized voluntary industry standards for our products and processes.

No Abuse Of Labor

We will not use any form of forced labor, including indentured, prison, bonded or slave labor. We will not use physical or verbal harassment or abuse to discipline employees.

No Child Labor

We will not use child labor. We will comply with all minimum age provisions of applicable laws and regulations.

Freedom Of Association

We respect the rights of employees to associate or organize without fear of reprisal or interference. If employees are represented by an organization recognized under law, we respect the right to bargain collectively.

No Discrimination

We will not discriminate in hiring and employment practices on the basis of age, nationality, race, religion, social status, ethnic origin, gender or disability.

Hours And Wages

We will comply with all applicable wage, work hours, hiring, benefits, and overtime laws and regulations. In the absence of law in a particular location relating to product safety, labor, employment, environment or working conditions, the spirit and intent of these policies shall be met.

Workplace Conditions

We will provide a safe, healthy and secure workplace. We will abide by all applicable laws and regulations for safety and health. Proper sanitation, lighting, ventilation and fire safety protection will be provided.

Environment

We abide by all applicable environmental laws and regulations. We will manage our environmental footprint to minimize the adverse impact on the environment. We will manage our energy, water and waste systems for maximum efficiency and minimal adverse impact on the environment.

Subcontractors and Sources

We require all businesses that support our business as subcontractors, manufacturers or sources of goods to comply with all of the same policies stated in our Commitment to Ethical and Responsible Conduct Policy. All subcontractors and suppliers are required to comply with all applicable and national laws.

We expect those businesses to develop and implement internal business procedures to ensure compliance with our policy.

All proofs must be approved by the customer in writing and faxed or e-mailed to Pro Towel without delay.

Product Safety and Compliance

General Letter of Conformity

The Pro Towels Family of Brands is dedicated to the safety and integrity of our products. We are committed to offering quality items in the Promotional Products industry while either meeting or exceeding established standards in regards to safety and compliance.

We work diligently with our suppliers and require annual testing of our product and supplies. Based on information and testing results provided by our suppliers we are confident that all of our inks, threads, and products meet all requirements established as acceptable levels by the government in regards to lead and heavy metal. We can also state that NO heavy metals (Lead, Chromium VI, Mercury, Nickel, and Cadmium) are intentionally added in the manufacturing of our supplies or products.

CPSIA

In regards to mandatory testing required by the CPSIA, our towels and blankets are considered to be exempt to testing. This exemption is found under Section D Line item 7. Section D states that “certain products, by their nature, will never exceed the lead content limit so those products do not need to be tested and do not need certificates to show that they comply with the law.” We are however required to have our inks and threads tested for content. We have on record, testing results from accredited labs that provide information showing that our products (inks/threads) used in decorating are safe for users.

CAN/CGSB
For products entering Canada we test annually against CAN/CGSB standards in addition to the testing done as part of CPSIA. We have on record, testing results from accredited labs that provide information showing that our products (inks/threads) used in decorating are safe for users.

Prop 65

In regards to Prop 65, we have on record, testing results from accredited labs that provide information showing that our products (inks/threads) used in decorating are safe for users. As stated above our products themselves (towels, robes, blankets, throws/tapestry) are exempt from lead testing due to the materials they are constructed from. It is known that “certain products, by their nature, will never exceed the lead content limit so those products do not need to be tested and do not need certificates to show that they comply with the law.” (Section D Line item 7)

Social Compliance

The Pro Towels Family of Brands are companies that value not only our clients but our associates as well. To ensure that our company complies with all State and Federal rules and regulations in regards to Social Compliance we have brought in independent firms to audit our facilities. Based on the results of these audits we can confirm that our facilities are considered to be compliant.

Artwork

We recommend all files be sent via e-mail. Please make sure that you include your company’s name and P.O. number with all e-mailed artwork. Submit your artwork to the following e-mails:

Customers will be held responsible for any charges incurred to resolve problems if the digital file is not received in a usable format (see below). Contact ProService for more information.

Acceptable File Types:

Art Charges: $40.00 (k) minimum per hour.

Printed Artwork Specs:

  • Minimum Type Size: Terry velour products = 15 pt.
  • Minimum Line Weight: Terry velour products = 2 pt.
  • Halftones: Due to the nature of towel fabrics artwork that contains large areas of color, (such as lettering) along with halftones will usually require separate screens for optimum coverage.
  • Avoid art with straight lines or borders that follow the towel edges.
  • Make use of as much of the maximum imprint area as possible.
  • Avoid thin lines and condensed lettering.

Blank Goods

  • Any blank goods ordered without finishing (1,000 or less) ship within 24 hours; any with finishing required will ship in 48 hours.
  • Blank good orders of 1,000 or more without finishing will ship within 48 hours; up to 72 hours for up to 1,000 pieces with finishing. Call for shipping details on larger orders.
  • Any blank goods ordered with any type of finishing (grommets, tri-folding, etc.), will require an additional day.
  • Blank goods altered in any way (i.e. Grommets, Tri-folding, etc.) are not returnable for credit.
  • Blank goods can be returned within 72 hours of delivery date. Contact ProService for return authorization. Returns will be invoiced
    a $50.00(a) restocking fee and all freight. Returns received without prior authorization will be denied.
  • Important Notice: It is the responsibility of the consignee to inspect for defects as well as style, color, size and quantity of the shipment PRIOR TO DECORATING.

Changes & Cancellations

  • Changes may delay production and shipping.
  • Canceled orders will be charged for costs of set ups, digitizing and possible art charges incurred as of cancellation date.
  • Any changes made to an order (by phone) after received at factory must be confirmed in writing, email or by fax. Note: Changes may delay shipments and charges may apply. Adjustments to ship methods MUST be received 2 days before schedled ship date or changes cannot be guaranteed.

Claims

Damaged/Defective/Misprinted merchandise: ALL CLAIMS must be made within 7 days of receipt of merchandise NO EXCEPTIONS. Failure to do so will void all claims! Any credits or reprints are at the discretion of Pro Towels.

Copyright/Trademark Laws

We assume submitted artwork is in full compliance with laws governing copyrights and trademarks. Customers agree to hold The Pro Towels Family of Brands harmless for any damages and or costs arising under these laws as a consequence of our using the artwork. All logos portrayed in our catalog are for illustration only and are not available for sale unless otherwise specified by the owner of the copyright.

Embroidery Artwork Specs

Acceptable Digitized File Type: Tajima formatted files.

Acceptable Image Types: .EPS, .JPG, .TIF, .AI, .PDF. Call for other acceptable formats. A digitizing fee will apply.

To edit a digitized file, there will be a $31.25 (g) charge.

  • All tapes / files MUST include thread colors and sequence.
  • Customer supplied files may require additional editing.
  • We reserve the right to manipulate files to better accommodate production capabilities (edit typeface sizes, line weights, etc.)
  • Lettering no smaller than 5mm is recommended.
  • Thread colors can be matched to Pantone Colors as close as possible, if needed.
  • Embroidery Thread Color Charge: $31.25(g) per thread color change, unless a change to black or white.
  • Second location: $3.75(g) each additional location.
  • Personalization: $3.75(g) each personalization for each piece.
  • We use tear-away backing on all embroidery on golf and rally towel orders. To keep our quality standards for embroidery, some backing may possibly remain in order to keep the stitches tight and clean.

Inventory

  • Mill tolerance allows 5% variance in towel weights and sizes.
  • Due to the flexible nature of textiles, a tolerance of 5% either way from the center is acceptable for imprinting position.
  • Production colors may vary among dye lots.
  • We reserve the right to substitute product of equal or better specifications.
  • Please allow extra time for sewn products (Ex. TT-25TG).

Over Runs/Under Runs

  • Manufacturing standards dictate orders be subject to a 5% over/under allowance, therefore orders may ship plus or minus 5% unless exact quantity is requested.
  • Exact quantities may be requested for a 5% surcharge.
  • Orders specifying NO OVERRUNS may receive up to 5% under runs.

Packaging

  • Vinyl polybags are used for blankets when vinyl zippered bags are not standard packaging.
  • Poly bagging $0.19 (g) per item.
  • Clear Vinyl Zipper Bags $0.58 (g) per item.

The type of artwork submitted, product availability, and the speed of response to correspondence regarding your order may alter production time.

Proof Charges

PRE-PRODUCTION PROOFS – $40.00 (k) on beach towels, blankets and packaging options and $15.00 (k) for golf & rally towels, plus the cost of the product at minimum quantity. Pre-production proofs may be REQUIRED for large orders of 1,000 pieces or more.

Proofs

Art proofs will be e-mailed to you between 24-48 hours after order submission. All proofs must be approved by the customer and e-m ailed
back to us without delay. For repeat orders, proofs are provided upon request. Please advise ProService if you require a proof. A flat rate of $5.00(k) will be applied for all paper proofs that do not require a pre-production sample. Delays on proof approval will increase production time. Embroidery reorders will not receive a proof unless requested.

Reorders

50% off set up fee on all exact reorders for screenprinted prod ucts. NO set up charges for exact reorders on embroidery and laser. We cannot guarantee exact color matching on re-orders.

Samples

  • Sample orders are required in writing (E-MAIL).
  • Shipper number MUST be provided.
  • Requests received before 3 PM EST will ship SAME DAY from SC location.
  • Samples from NV location will be shipped same day if received before 3 PM PST.
  • For samples required in Canada, requests must be received before 11:30 AM PST for shipping same day.

  • Unless specified, we reserve the right to ship by most beneficial method.

Shipping Information and Charges

Four Color Process Printing

Why can’t you print white on a colored beach towel?

We are unable to print a pure white imprint on a colored beach towel due to our water-based inks. Our alternative is our prolucent print. This ink gives the logo a somewhat opaque effect and it appears as a lighter shade of the towel color. When printing on a colored beach towel, it is also recommended to use an ink that is darker than the towel color.

Do you have a third party handling charge?

Third party shipping is available upon request at no charge. However, an account number must be provided.

What is your over/under run policy?

Manufacturing standards dictate orders be subject to a 5% over/under allowance, therefore orders may ship plus or minus 5% unless the exact quantity is requested. Exact quantities may be requested for a 5% surcharge. Orders specifying NO OVERRUNS may receive up to 5% under runs.

What kind of art do you require?

We require camera ready art vector art in the following formats: .EPS, .AI and .PDF (PDF files are acceptable if originally created in Adobe Illustrator as vector artwork.

Do you have a repeat set up charge?

Yes – Most items have a specific set up charge. On repeat orders that are exact reorders, we offer 50% off set up fee for screenprinted products. There is no set up charges for exact reorders on embroidery and laser. We cannot guarantee exact color matching on re-orders.

Is there a PMS Match Charge?

No, we will attempt to match your PMS color request as best as we can, but we cannot guarantee a 100% match. Metallic Ink is not recommended on towels. For embroidery, we will match as close as possible with available threads.
